Low-Water Landscape Rainwater Collection Demo Project
We worked with Town of Chino Valley water resources officials and local landscapers to develop this rainwater harvesting demonstration model, installed at Chino Valley Town Hall in 2010.

Construction1
Construction1
Excavating and grading to create bio-swales for passive rainwater collection.
Construction2
Construction2
Underground system of pipes delivers rainwater overflow to plants and soil via basins and trenches.
Construction3 tank
Construction3 tank
A Bushman Slimline 620 gal. tank tucks under roof eaves against the wall. It required no special pad, was set about six inches into the ground for added stability and to insulate irrigation connections in the winter.
Filtration
Filtration
Water from gutters flows through a Leaf Eater filter before entering the tank. The filter prevents leaves and other debris from entering the tank, boosting collection efficiency and protecting water quality.
Plant installation
